On a project that was stopped

Narxnoma collected market prices once a week and showed them in a table. The idea was good and there were users.

The problem was the data. Prices had to be gathered by hand — there was no reliable source to automate from. A few hours every week; after a year it became unbearable.

What it taught me

When you build something that rests on data, the first question is not about the program: will this data arrive on its own every week? If the answer is no, the project will stop sooner or later.

I did not delete the page. It sits in the archive — rather than hide a stopped project, it seems more honest to write down why it stopped.
