Bot or website: which one
For some problems a website is overkill. Eslatma turned out to be one of them.
The first version of Eslatma was a website. Sign-up, password, settings page — all there. Users were not.
The reason is simple: if setting a reminder means visiting a website, people leave it in their phone reminders instead. The number of steps mattered more than the idea.
Moving to Telegram
A bot has no sign-up — the user is already logged in. Setting a reminder is one message. In the first week there were more users than the website had gathered in six months.
The rule came out like this: if the solution is one short action, build a bot. If people need to look and compare, build a site.
